  2. Serving the Community

I hope that in 2030 the grads have an even greater orientation towards being of service to both local and broader communities. The leadership skills that they acquire at Crescent should be put to use to help others. The school can both cultivate the skills necessary for this, and also the attitude that this is desirable, and a responsibility.

  5. Agile. Willing. Thinker.

A Crescent grad needs to be Agile - poised to embrace change

Willing - in attitude and outcome to learn, grow and contribute

A Thinker - to not only identify the problem but be part of the team that comes up with the solutions

  6. The ability to inquire.

We are preparing students for many jobs/career that do not currently exist. It is our responsibility to foster our student's ability to ask deep questions and inquire about the answers to these questions. When we inquire, we develop critical thinking skills that are essential to any student's future.

  10. Listening Skills

Our Grad mustn't just come to the table with an agenda to present his own ideas and have his own beliefs confirmed by others, but he must be willing to alter his perspective and step out of his comfort zone, if needed. Only then will true discovery and change occur.

  12. Ability to Formulate and Communicate a Logical Solution

Many boys have the ability to come up with a creative solution in their head, but lack ability to communicate this idea quickly and concisely. Graduates need to be able to logically sort through the web of thoughts pertaining to the solution to form a step by step solution on their own. The solution must be sound and be "bullet proofed" in terms of risks and contingencies.

  15. Radically honest and incredibly ambitious.

Too much negativity that stifles progress is rooted in complacency and dishonesty. Full transparency always has it's risks, but a global citizen, a true man, inherits those risks in the pursuit of a better world. Speak the truth, seek the truth, but most importantly walk the walk. If that becomes a cornerstone of the Crescent community, any ambitions students have will change the world for the better.
