  1. Railways

I think that developing railways that will run across the country and bring citizens together (literally) will be something that will be welcomed with open arms. Fast trains that will connect communities via Canadian transit systems will be a positive development for the country. It's important to do this to create a unification between cities that is more effective than what we currently have. It's currently difficult to make trips from one city to another without it taking an exorbitant amount of time. We have to make Canada more accessible for everyone.

  2. Free skills training for homeless and people making less than $10,000/ per year.

Government should invest in people that just need a hand up not a hand out. Providing training to people that need more skills to be able to get a job can increase less homeless and street beggars. It will not fix the problem totally, but rather offer people an avenue to get skills that are desperately needed for the province.

The provincial government would put a list of needed skills like hospitality, customer service, & carpentry for example as what is needed for the coming year. They would work with Nonprofit and Community colleges to make the program happen. There…

  3. Building a high speed wireless network encompassing the North

To integrate telecommunications across the entire country Canada needs to invest in wireless infrastructure throughout the Yukon, NWT and Nunavut. In addition areas within the northern reaches of Canadian provinces need to have high-speed access to the Internet equivalent to that available in the southern portions of the provinces.

  4. Development of distributed energy systems employing micro grids.

Currently our reliance no a national energy grid infrastructure represents the country's Achilles Heel. We need to develop smart micro grids and local distributed energy that incorporates renewable and storage options. It means turning businesses and communities into their own utilities. It ensures that no single point of failure can bring down the grid in the event of extreme weather events.

  6. Housing First Principle to tackle homelessness

Using the Housing First Principle to tackle homelessness. This new article is encouraging to see, and I would love to see this program continued across Canada! http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/medicine-hat-has-almost-eliminated-homelessness-by-giving-homeless-people-the-keys-to-their-own-apartments
