What makes a Future Friendly School? Through this participatory process, you will help to identify and prioritize the most relevant indicators for certification across our three focus areas of environmental stewardship, student voice, and global citizenship. We appreciate your participation and look forward to your insights! This page is for voting, commenting on, and suggesting new indicators in the area of global citizenship. You can switch to the other certification indicators through the links in the header. If you’re interested in partnership or participating as a founding school in the program, contact us at education@takingitglobal.org!

This void became wider and wider as I worked in the corporate world. It was an anything goes environment controlled by communications-by-rank We need to address this situation in the class rooms and do not send children into the world without knowing what it is really all about. See http://tapsearch.com/communications-by-rank and note too hints and tips for communicating yourself in several ways.

  5. One Curriculam, Only specialization

I believe there should only be one course curriculam, currently in different parts of worlds different syllabus is followed. Personally i believe the education from the junio level should only include relevant subjects such as there should not be any geographic etc. subjects when some one is not interested to study theme. I believe in specialization. New syllabus should be based on specialization from 8th grade or onward, there is no need to study 10 or bundle of subjects in a semester or year. Students should be given choice to select their field of study and they should totally study…

  6. Integration of Culture, Norms, and Practicies of the Indigenous people in the school curriculum

Recognize, protect, and promote the rights and welfare of Indigenous People, as well as equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to face various social realities and challenges. School curriculum should address for community participation and self determination and addresses the clamor for content that is directly connected to Indigenous Peoples life and struggles.

It should also implement a stronger affirmative action to eradicate all forms of discrimination against Indigenous People. Cultivate respect for cultural diversity as part of the respect for human rights. Promote awareness and appreciation of Indigenous Peoples cultural heritage and history.

  12. Student Voice is the impetus for tackling environmental and global issues

Student Voice must be the medium through which students from schools around the world tackle real world issues around environmental, political, and social issues pertaining to global citizenship. In the future, kids should collaborate and problem solve to come up with solutions to problems about which we oftentimes don't bother to ask them, but that affect them.
