A simpler and better Global Gallery platform
I have encountered some problems in the Global Gallery platform. I have tried to submit a photograph, but it did not work and there was no explanation given. It could be made simpler or improved perhaps?

allow school choices from any country; now default makes u choose from current location country only
1 voteThe system will allow you to add any school that resides in a country you have been to.
Simply add the country (and city) of the school you want to add and you will be able to find it in the list.

Immediately cancel Advertising Rights for "Congratulations-You've Won!"It is obnoxious, a total SCAM
The flashing blue ad shouting "Congratulations You've won!"
is an insult to anyone on the site. It should be banned from the internet. Yelling out loud, annoys the entire office, it's embarrassing to me and as a great organization, you should fire your ad manager--this is an outrage!!11 votes -

review the content before puuting it on the home page
I was shocked to see links to porn sites coming to the home page in the form of recent discussion threads today (19.April.2010). Some filter could have stopped it from getting it on the home page.

adding persian language option for brothers and sisters in Iran.
TIG needs to represent the languages that are important. Persian is spoken in several countries in addition to Iran, Please add the option for Persian language.

It was already there – maybe there was an error with the dropdown when you entered it – but if you edit your profile, you should be able to change to it!

fix the region search process
It takes many pages to find a city within a country within a region. I see two possible ways to fix it:
1) When you are choose a region, have the website automatically choose countries, provinces, cities etc. ONLY within that region. As it is, even though I've already selected North America, Canada, Ontario, I must still choose Toronto out of a list of all cities named Toronto in the world.
2) Enable a quick search (perhaps using user IP/location information to guide the search).
3 votesThanks for this feedback! We’ve revised the way the site works to implement your suggestion #1 – so when you select a state/city now from a country/state/province site, it won’t ask you to choose it from within the others named the same way.

Simply go to the Add Artwork page (http://gg.tigweb.org/submit.html) and click on the “Browse” button and select any artwork you want to upload and select “Start Upload.”

Automatically import blog posts from Wordpress
Much easier than having to write a WP blog than come over here and write another one, or copy and paste.
Facebook allows it through the importing of notes. TIG should be able to do it too.

fix scrolling problem - can only view the tops of pages
cannot scroll down certain pages (e.g. organizations pages) logged in or out. Using Firefox 2.
