Mindset

“I know that entrepreneurship is a career option for me.”

Young people cannot become entrepreneurs unless they know that entrepreneurship is an option for them and understand what it entails. An entrepreneurial mindset combines creativity, innovativeness, willingness to take (acceptable) risks, perception of failure as an opportunity to learn and persevere, and willingness to work outside one’s comfort zone. (See Roundtable Backgrounder for full details.)

Share your thoughts! For example, your response could refer to general awareness of entrepreneurship, Canadian culture, community reception to entrepreneurship, or our society’s perception of failure.

Submit a challenge that isn’t already listed, comment on an existing idea and vote for the challenge(s) you believe are the most important to overcome.
