Future Friendly Schools - Environmental Stewardship

What makes a Future Friendly School? Through this participatory process, you will help to identify and prioritize the most relevant indicators for certification across our three focus areas of environmental stewardship, student voice, and global citizenship. We appreciate your participation and look forward to your insights! This page is for voting, commenting on, and suggesting new indicators in the area of environmental stewardship. What are the most relevant indicators of environmental stewardship in a Future Friendly School?

  3. Information flow on environmental stewardship

    the way they are persistent in asking gifts,young people should be the bridge of passing information about environmental friendly activities as they be part of it,learning and knowing effects of neglecting and abusing environment.for example what happens when one tree is cut and not replaced? from home to home,village to village and so on and so forth.and it should be done in a way tht it looks like a hoby that at the end rewards

    plastic is an un-organic waste which need a long time even hundred year to be absorbed and destructed by the ground. it is can be a menace for the environment. for instance, floods could happen because of the water gutter is bunged up by the plastics waste so when rain comes the water it self can not flows well. hence it makes the water is overflow and floods happen. therefore it's needed to minimize the number of plastic waste and change it become something useful and beautiful.

  8. Kids Go Green!

    School should not only be teaching how to nurture our environment, but rather, we should set at least once a day to go out to the neighborhood, observe, interview the local folks, or just do a simple survey on environment related issues. With these activities we are not only exposing them to reality but also making them feel that as young kids as they are, they are integral part of the society.   10. Students to be educated and trained in utilizing 3Rs in their life practically

    First, students should be educated on how to use 3Rs, its benefits, and future outcome. Then the students to be practically trained on using 3Rs. The process has to be repeated, so they get used to with system.

  18. The School offers the IB Environmental Systems and Societies Course.

    The course is interdisciplinary, current and has a practical component. Students should be fully aware of the complexity of the environmental issues facing the world today with the skills required to develop and implement solutions for them.
