Based on your discussions in Round 1, below are the top challenges in developing an entrepreneurial mindset among youth and young adults. Now, in Round 2, we are discussing the opportunities or solutions to address these challenges.

  1. We must change our cultural and educational norm to include being an entrepeneur rather than geared to working for someone else.

    The vast majority of out educational and cultural norms promotes and/or accepts that we should go and work for someone else. These norms actually inhibit the growth of entrepeneurship. I believe that the solution is to start business courses in high school that educate young people about the basics of being an entrepreneur (even if it is only self-employed as business of one person) so that, at a young age, people who would have an aptitude and passion for such a profession would dream about becoming and entrepreneur and start taking the correct steps earlier rather than later.

  3. Education

    More education is need to teach youth exactly what "entrepreneurial skills" are. More specifically, youth need to know that these skills are not couched entirely in the business world, but can be applied to many different contexts.
