Future Friendly Schools - Student Voice

What makes a Future Friendly School? Through this participatory process, you will help to identify and prioritize the most relevant indicators for certification across our three focus areas of environmental stewardship, student voice, and global citizenship. We appreciate your participation and look forward to your insights! This page is for voting, commenting on, and suggesting new indicators in the area of student voice. You can switch to the other certification indicators through the links in the header. If you’re interested in partnership or participating as a founding school in the program, contact us at education@takingitglobal.org!

  1. Creativity in school curriculum

Activities in schools should have some level of creativity. Students must be given the chance to express themselves by pointing out their grievances, giving their opinions concerning the performance of their teachers etc. This makes students participatory in the affairs of the school.
Inter-school competitions and games should be encouraged as well.

  8. IT for Youth Empowerment

Information Technology is said to be an integral part of education. With the rampant presence of social media, gadgets and internet, youth are said to be the most affected persons of these developments. Therefore, we should empower Youth to make use of these IT developments for their empowerment, for their development as leaders. Through proper IT integration to school curriculum, we can inculcate to our young learners that IT are developed for one's own advantage. With proper guidance to our youth, we can help them maximize their potentials through the use of IT.
